Step 1

Preheat the microwave or oven to 375 degrees Celsius. Take a round oven-safe dish and grease it with a spoonful of unsalted butter. Spread the cherries evenly on the utensil and set them aside for some time.

Step 2

Take some flour, add in salt and ½ cup of the fine sugar in a bowl, and blend them well. Add on the eggs and milk and whisk them until appropriately done. Pour the mixture with a mesh strainer to avoid any lumps on the cherries.

Step 3

Sprinkle some of the mixture on the buttered dish with the leftover ¼ cup of sugar. Take 2 spoons of butter and scatter them around, covering every inch of the dish, so that no fruit stays uncooked.

Step 4

Bake the dessert for around 30-40 minutes until it turns puffed and golden. Don’t forget to cover the edges with aluminum foil after 20 minutes have passed so your dessert doesn’t get overcooked. After you take it out from the oven, let it sit for around five minutes before serving the delicious cherry-filled dessert with whipped cream.

The finely cut ingredients of this salad can be stored for up to two days without any dressing or seasoning.

The Perfect Chopped Salad

There’s no hard and fast rule when it comes to making a chopped salad. As long as one keeps in mind the following three things, the salad will turn out great. While preparing the salad, one should always ensure that there’s a balance between the ingredients. Diced fruits, crunchy raw vegetables, roasted nuts, and romaine lettuce can be mixed with small cubes of cheese and dried fruits to achieve the desired texture.

Different Flavors of Chopped Salad

When it comes to chopped salad, one can add any vegetables, fruits, dry fruits, and seasonings, as long as they go well with other ingredients. Here’s a guide to which ingredients to choose for a particular salad: For an Italian salad, one can use romaine, peppers, salami, and red onion. If one is making a classic Cobb, then go for lettuce, chopped egg, and bacon bits. In the case of the Mediterranean, one should add cucumbers, tomatoes, feta, and mint. Celery, walnuts, apple, and chicken go perfectly in a Waldorf salad
